VISUALIZATION WITH TECHNOLOGY

As good readers, we picture people, places, and scenes in our minds, creating mental images as we read. Typically, when teachers try to teach students to visualize they say something like this: “As we read, I want you to make pictures of the story in your head.” Unfortunately, for struggling readers, many of our struggling readers don’t have the skills they need to visualize, so asking them to do it is an impossible demand.

The LA Intervention Program combines visualization strategy with student-driven technology, resulting in engaging and high-interest lessons.
